A bitch, ready to whelp, earnestly begged a shepherd for a place where she might litter. When her request was granted, she besought permission to rear her puppies in the same spot. The shepherd again consented. But at last the Bitch, protected by the bodyguard of her Whelps, who had now grown up and were able to defend themselves, asserted her exclusive right to the place and would not permit the shepherd to approach.

The Dove and the Crow
Dove shut up in a cage was boasting of the large number of young ones which she had hatched. A Crow hearing her, said: "My good friend, cease from this unseasonable boasting. The larger the number of your family, the greater your cause of sorrow, in seeing them shut up in this prison-house."
Normal: Having less means having a little to lose.
Reflection: You have nothing to lose when you have nothing. It lessens the pain you go through and the time you waste on these things. Never boast about something that you had all this time. You might not recover from the loss. Life is nothing when you've got no freedom.

The Birds, the Beasts, and the Bat
THE BIRDS waged war with the Beasts, and each were by turns the conquerors. A Bat, fearing the uncertain issues of the fight, always fought on the side which he felt was the strongest. When peace was proclaimed, his deceitful conduct was apparent to both combatants. Therefore being condemned by each for his treachery, he was driven forth from the light of day, and henceforth concealed himself in dark hiding-places, flying always alone and at night.Posted by Chaituuks at 4:10 AM 0 comments
The Panther and the Shepherds
A PANTHER, by some mischance, fell into a pit. The Shepherds discovered him, and some threw sticks at him and pelted him with stones, while others, moved with compassion towards one about to die even though no one should hurt him, threw in some food to prolong his life. At night they returned home, not dreaming of any danger, but supposing that on the morrow they would find him dead. The Panther, however, when he had recruited his feeble strength, freed himself with a sudden bound from the pit, and hastened to his den with rapid steps. After a few days he came forth and slaughtered the cattle, and, killing the Shepherds who had attacked him, raged with angry fury. Then they who had spared his life, fearing for their safety, surrendered to him their flocks and begged only for their lives. To them the Panther made this reply: "I remember alike those who sought my life with stones, and those who gave me food. Lay aside, therefore, your fears. I return as an enemy only to those who injured me."
Moral: Do unto others what you want others to do unto you.
Reflection:
Life has its ups and downs. Life can always pull you down. On your way downhill, you encounter three kinds of people: Watchers, Mockers, and Helpers. Help those who are in need. Karma comes back around.

The Fox and the Mask
A FOX entered the house of an actor and, rummaging through all his properties, came upon a Mask, an admirable imitation of a human head. He placed his paws on it and said, "What a beautiful head! Yet it is of no value, as it entirely lacks brains."

The Dog and the Shadow.
by grasping at the shadow.
Reflection: Contentment is always essential. You should be content with what you have. Taking risks because of greed can only pull you down. Appreciate the things you already have. Looking for a bigger fish to catch gets you nowhere. When I was still in elementary, I was always active during school activities. I was supposed to join the duet competitions during one of the school camps but my other self also wanted to join the storytelling contest. I joined both. I was unprepared. You already know what’s next.

The Dog and the Oyster
A DOG, used to eating eggs, saw an Oyster and, opening his mouth to its widest extent, swallowed it down with the utmost relish, supposing it to be an egg. Soon afterwards suffering great pain in his stomach, he said, "I deserve all this torment, for my folly in thinking that everything round must be an egg." Posted by Chaituuks at 1:01 AM 0 comments
The hares, oppressed by their own exceeding timidity and weary of the perpetual alarm to which they were exposed, with one accord determined to put an end to themselves and their troubles by jumping from a lofty precipice into a deep lake below. As they scampered off in large numbers to carry out their resolve, the Frogs lying on the banks of the lake heard the noise of their feet and rushed helter-skelter to the deep water for safety. On seeing the rapid disappearance of the Frogs, one of the Hares cried out to his companions: "Stay, my friends, do not do as you intended; for you now see that there are creatures who are still more timid than ourselves."
Reflection: When people experience hardships, they feel like they’ve just lost everything and the world is playing a big joke on them. This feeling makes a person wanna die. It’s like you’re having cancer and you’re family doesn’t even care. You feel shame, but you’re still invisible enough that no one even bothers. You feel like you’re living the worst life ever. But you’re wrong. Someone else has got it worse than you. A common example: I once got mad at my mom for giving only half the usual amount of my baon. Then I realized how lucky I was. At some places, there were kids who went to school without a single peso inside their pockets. I should be happy with what I already have.

The Sick Lion
A lion, unable from old age and infirmities to provide himself with food by force, resolved to do so by artifice. He returned to his den, and lying down there, pretended to be sick, taking care that his sickness should be publicly known. The beasts expressed their sorrow, and came one by one to his den, where the Lion devoured them. After many of the beasts had thus disappeared, the Fox discovered the trick and presenting himself to the Lion, stood on the outside of the cave, at a respectful distance, and asked him how he was. "I am very middling," replied the Lion, "but why do you stand without? Pray enter within to talk with me." "No, thank you," said the Fox. "I notice that there are many prints of feet entering your cave, but I see no trace of any returning."
Moral: He is wise who is warned by the misfortunes of others.
Reflection: Bad things can happen any time. It can happen to anyone. The misfortune other people go through stand as a warning to those who still have the chance to prepare. You think others go through life’s hell for no reason? For example, you hear stories about a haunted mansion. Hundreds came in but none of them came out. The haunted mansion is right around the block. What will you do?

The Shepherd Boy and the Wolf
A SHEPHERD-BOY, who watched a flock of sheep near a village, brought out the villagers three or four times by crying out, "Wolf! Wolf!" and when his neighbors came to help him, laughed at them for their pains. The Wolf, however, did truly come at last. The Shepherd-boy, now really alarmed, shouted in an agony of terror: "Pray, do come and help me; the Wolf is killing the sheep"; but no one paid any heed to his cries, nor rendered any assistance. The Wolf, having no cause of fear, at his leisure lacerated or destroyed the whole flock. Posted by Chaituuks at 12:39 AM 0 comments

Topic # 1- (Untitled)
Napakaraming talented students sa school and they deserve to be in the spotlight. Pero di sila napapansin. Students who are chosen to join competitions (over and over again) are those who have made their way to the top. Honor students. Smart Students. To be clear, I hold no grudge against intelligent people. Every person has their own share of talents and skills. It's unfair knowing that the very few students who get chosen all the time are "favorites"..
-.-

Topic #2: Science Vs. Religion
Last, last, last, last, last, last week, nagkaroon kami ng debate. Topic namin is Creationism. Ang sides: Science and Religion.
SCIENCE- "Science has facts. Not just effing theories, but facts. It stands as our basis. It gives us the exact explanation on how the human brain works. It tells us that cell is the most basic unit of life, yet it never fails to share the complexity of its structure. Science isn't just some sh***ty subject. Science is life. Isipin mo nalang kung ano kaya ang mundo kung wala ang siyensya. Science offers us a lot at proven talaga ang sinasabi ng agham. Ang religion? NO PROOF. Binase lang yan sa mga sabi-sabi ng mga tao noon."
RELIGION- "Religion doesn't need any proof or basis. In fact, religion is its own basis. Not all things can be answered by science. Science is not based on fats but on oinions. Why are the tiny structures inside living organisms called cells? -Because Robert Hooke said so. Once again, wala akong galit kay Robert Hooke. Napansin ko lang kasi na ang ,mga basehan ng mga bagay ngayon ay galing lamang sa "opinion" binago lang ang spelling at ginawang "F-A-C-T-s". San ka maniniwala? Why should we believe on the opinions of people who are just as normal as we are? Para walang lituhan. At isa pa, wala namang explanation ang science tungkol sa creationism. Puro lang theories: Big Bang theory, Capture theory, Steady-State Theory.San ka maniniwala? Ang Bible, iisa lang.
Bakit ba ang tawag sa mga puting flash ay "kidlat"? Ba't ba pag basang-basa ang tae, tawag na kagad nila sayo, "May LBM". Bakit ba? Opinions? Surveys? Findings? Facts? Facts my nose! hahahaha.
-trip lang-
